Silhouettes of people on a beach at night, some with surfboards, ocean waves illuminated by moonlight.

Hey, I'm Bel.

I'm a designer, a mother, a traveller, and a founder who has built things, lost some, and grown from all of it. I've spent 30 years shaping how stories look and feel, in studios around the world.

Somewhere along the way I learned the work was never the hardest part. The hardest part was the quiet that comes with doing it alone, when your best thinking has nowhere to go.

One 5 am, I woke to the biggest sale of my life and had nobody to tell. No confetti. I looked for something built for exactly that moment, and found nothing fun, nothing alive.

So I decided to build it, for us.

Sholo (she+solo=sholo) grew out of Fauun, my design studio. I'm still building it, learning something new every day, and I'd love to do that alongside you.
